To our valued customers,

Greetings! as the christmas season fast approaching we know you are getting busy getting your friends and love ones special for this Holiday. I feel the excitement rushing to your heart just by thinking about them. However not everybody will have joy in heart since many of us don't have anybody to spend it with more so nobody even remembers them. I am talking about people sleeping or staying on the streets. Travel van for rent It is evident that no matter how rich and powerful the country is there are still people neglected by society and no matter each of our government does anything about it the problem is still not resolved. But if you touch them with your heart it pays a good deal to your spirit. I am writing to you because I want to make this year kinda different from our previous years. Me and my staff always have something special a week before christmas. We agreed that we will not have that normal feast this year, instead we will devote our time and money to go out and distribute food to the people sleeping and leaving on the streets. But in order to touch as many as we want we need your help. If you find it in your heart to Donate between $7-10 on or before Dec 15 then we will include you on our Christmas season drive. Depending on how much we will raise the idea is buy ready to cook food ( bottled water, cup noodles, cereals, canned goods etc) and have our staff together with our family distribute them. You can send your donations through the same manner you pay us when we ship your boxes (paypal or credit card) I assure you that your help will be extended to people who need them the most.

On behalf of Manila forwarders and its staff we want to thank you in advance.

Manila port utilization up amid congestion

MANILA, Philippines - The Aquino administration has successfully improved the movement of goods at the ports of Manila but would continue to implement measures to further address congestion at the gateways despite the lifting of the truck ban by the city government of Manila.

In his keynote speech during The Ports Summit organized by the Port Users Confederation, Transportation Secretary Joseph Emilio Abaya said the movement of goods going outside the ports increased to 6,700 to 7,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) while arrivals continued to hover around 5,000 TEUs since the truck ban was lifted last Sept. 13.

According to Abaya, yard utilization currently stands between 85 percent and 90 percent with about 69,000 to 73,000 TEUs still inside the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT).

The government still needs to clear about 10 percent or about 6,900 TEUs to 7,300 TEUs to reach the ideal 80 percent yard utilization, Abaya said.

He added that vessel dwell time at the ports remained at 20 hours while waiting time at anchorage is still relatively high at seven to nine days.

Yard utilization at the ports of Manila surged to 100 percent or 81,000 TEUs from only 47 percent or 38,000 TEUs six weeks after the city government of Manila imposed the truck ban in February. continue reading...
